Friends of Warrington Transporter Bridge
Save Warrington Transporter Bridge facebook page was created in June 2013 and interest grew steadily, to the point that in March 2015, a public meeting was held in Warrington of people concerned about the decaying Warrington Transporter Bridge. The meeting was well attended and led to the formation of a formally constituted society - the Friends of Warrington Transporter Bridge (FoWTB) - with the aim of 'Acting as the independent voice of the bridge.'

We've come a long way since those early days - we now have nearly 1,500 followers on facebook, we've been featured on BBC North West Tonight and have a useful, constructive relationship with Warrington Borough Council... exciting times for our bridge!
